Animal Reiki

Animals are an integral part of our circle of life. They feel everything. They absorb the energy of their environments, their humans, and their own experiences, and when that energy gets stuck or out of balance, they would benefit from some support, just like we do. Animal Reiki can help to heal, restore balance, and nourish our animal friends during health issues, transitions, emotional stress, trauma, and the end of life.

Animal Reiki strengthens your bond and deepens your relationship with your animals.

I offer equine Reiki and Reiki for dogs, cats and other animals. Birds, farm animals, rescued wildlife, and more. I can work with animals in homes, barns, shelters, rescue or rehab settings, pastures and enclosures. Distance Reiki can be sent anywhere on the planet and even beyond. Each session is unique to the animal and what they need that day.

I study animal communication and am an “animal person” through and through.

Reiki does not replace veterinary care or behavior training, but can complement all modalities of care.

How can Animal Reiki help?

Health Issues

  • Reiki works on a deeper level to shift energy patterns that are related to health issues. Reiki can help with:

    • Reducing pain, discomfort, and inflammation

    • Healing/recovery from injuries or medical treatment

    • Improving vitality, appetite, digestion, and energy

Behavioral or Emotional Issues

  • Just like us, animals can hold trauma from their past, absorb energy from their environment and people, and have difficulties adjusting to new homes and routines. Reiki can help release challenging energies and create calm so they can get back into alignment with their beings. Oftentimes a human client and their animal benefit from sessions at the same time, since their energies are so connected. Reiki can help to:

    • Help animals with loss or grief

    • Ease the adjustment to a new home, barn, or working environment

    • Help with fear, nervousness, and reactivity

    • Release the effects of trauma or mistreatment

    • Release the stress they may have taken on from other family members(no one has to hold it)

    • Ease the adjustment to a new family member, human or otherwise

Hospice, End of Life, and Grief

  • One of the hardest things we do is say goodbye for now to a beloved animal companion. They provide unconditional love to us and are integral parts of our soul’s journey and of our lives. Offering Reiki as they approach the end of life is a way to help them(and you!) with this transition. I believe it’s also a small way to support and honor them and your sacred relationship. Reiki can help to:

    • Boost energy levels, increase appetite, and reduce discomfort for animals with terminal illness, so you all can enjoy quality time and connection

    • Helps them(and you) to relax and calm so they can focus on whatever healing they need to do to prepare for the next step in their journey

    • Help you and the animal prepare for their upcoming transition

    • Reiki can help human companions to process grief after the loss of their animal companion

What to Expect

For an in-person session, it’s best that it takes place in the animal's home or an outdoor setting where the animal feels safe. Sessions can also be done remotely, as Reiki is not limited by time or space.

Animals are extremely intuitive. They will guide the session and move freely, choosing to come closer or stay at a distance based on their preference. Some animals may lie down or relax, while others may prefer to observe from a distance.

Regular sessions can be scheduled to address ongoing issues or maintain overall well-being, as well as hospice and euthanasia support if needed.

I so look forward to meeting you and your animal companions!
